My dog ate a chocolate bar.

My delicious dark chocolate bar is gone. My dog ate it.

I called the animal poisen control hotline, but it's a 60 dollar fee for a consultation. I hung up. Fuck it. I'll just watch her through the night.

Update! I called the emergency vet last night and they said she would have to eat twice the amount that she ate to be toxic. She's not showing any signs of anything, so I think she's okay!

Yep, no worries. I used to work for a vet and this is so common! As a matter of fact, it has also happened to me. My dog ate an entire bag of Hershey's Kisses (foil wrappers and all) and she was just fine too.

Too bad about the lost chocolate, though. *g*
