Ha. There are at least two of us because I also don't pair up Roy with Ed... I just can't get over the fact that Roy's in his thirties and Ed is a kid. (Never mind he's an extremely mature kid.)
After the events of the final battle in the manga, Roy and Riza are secretly married. It's a secret, of course, because they still wish to work together. It sorta comes out, however, a few years later, when Riza becomes pregnant.
Roy actually gets the hang of the 'clapping transmutation' quite well and, along with Alphonse's, publishes several academic papers in the theory of alchemical transmutation. He's a little embarrassed by it, and downplays his help (but is secretly proud).
He totally is elected Furor after Grumman. It's almost expected, seeing how he revitalized the blasted country of Isval and helped bring new economic prosperity to the entire region.

Man, I tried to get into that fandom after reading the manga, but the Roy/Ed squicked me out. I always thought they would be love/hate best friends forever. They had such an interesting dynamic!
