4am Blues
So at four am, for reasons only known to the science of rust and corrosion, a pipe behind my bathroom sink decided to rupture, spilling a waterfall all through my bathroom. I woke up I'm guessing about an hour later to find my bathroom flooded with an inch of water and the rug helpfully soaking up the rest.
Gah.
I couldn't find the water-shut off. So I called my old landlord and wife. Luckily, they only live about 5 houses down and came over in about 15 min to find the shutoff. I had accidentally cut off the neighbor's water by mistake. Haha!
Unfortunately, my mom's little dog started barking alerting the land lords that I have two animals, not one, living here. Also, my mom. (WTH was I supposed to do? She lost her house -- I couldn't have my mom be homeless! Besides, it's half-rent.) Oh well. They didn't give me any grief about it. And if they do, I'll just move... I'm out of the lease anyway.
Now the plumbers are here (and cursing up a storm doing whatever the hell it is they need to do -- I don't know. Damnit Jim, I'm a water treatment operator, not a plumber!) The rug cleaning guy will be by later.
So me? I'm tired. 4am is like my 1am, so I didn't get any sleep last night. I had such plans for this day, too... ah well. They'll just have to be done in an haze of fog.
Also my sister is bugging me to get a face-book. I'm not sure if I should do this, as I like to keep my online life and my real life happily separated. We'll see.
