The next ruler of Omashu is decided by a contest of Earthbending, as it always has been. Toph almost doesn't enter after the great King Bumi died, not knowing if she really wanted the responsibility. But by then she was in her early thirties and her legs were a little weary from 20 years of traveling. She enters and wins.

She had an fling with Haru, The Duke, and some pretty barmaid, once. She never settles down, though. Never has children. They call her the virgin queen of Omashu, although she's nothing but. Even towards the end, it's rumored she had new good looking vistors to her chambers every other week.

Lol at the last one. Yeah, I definitely don't see Toph ever having kids, and I can imagine people teasing her about being virgin. I like the idea that she would never be one to care much about romance or marriage.
