Well bashing my head against the desk for the last three days isn't helping me out of this odd funk I'm in. Grr. I can't seem to write recently, and when I do, it's shit. (No, really.)

Could you spare a moment and help me out? Some of my best ideas come from meme's. :D

This is going to be pretty open: Name a character (or characters), fandom, and a prompt. I'm open for AU, something from my current universes (Another Brother, In His Shoes, Rampage, Apple Falls Far... ect), genderbent, romance, crack, whatever. Just no prompts based on songs, please. I'm never inspired by those.

Limit to four requests per person.

After CoD in Apple Falls far from the tree-universe. Zuko is not okay with this.

In His Shoes universe, they cannot get back their own bodies so they have to survive how they are now. Preferably several years in future.

Zuka (yes, girl!Zuko) wasn't banished but instead she was married to an old-fashioned man (you know, women do not fight-type) and is a mother to a scarily fast growing amount of kids. And then the Avatar appears on her doorstep, 'Do not excite kids, I just got them to sleep...'.
(yes, I am known for requesting kids every possible moment. With a mpreg!zuko or a girl!zuko. Bear me)

Zuko is an air-bender. In my mind, airbenders got a bit migrated with other Nation's populace and once in awhile there jumps up a kid with an air-bending ability...and now Zuko is one of them. Yes, AU. ^^

I love AUs.

Ohhh! Great prompts!

Ursa knew her first child had been lucky to be born. The fire sages often said during her pregnancy that, because each child takes from the mother’s body, and so naturally the first is the strongest – and trending towards a son.

But her labor pains came early and Zuko was born small and silent. His tiny lungs did not have enough strength in them to cry.

The sages predicted he would not survive, and arrangements were quietly made for a royal funeral.

Somehow, her child beat the odds. Yet he remained a late bloomer. His first steps and first words weren’t nearly until he was one. There were whispers that the child’s mind was surely weak – hadn’t his father shown strength right from the start? Hadn’t young Ozai been able to flicker the candles in his nursery from the time he was two?

Fire seemed indifferent to Zuko, and he indifferent to the flame. Eventually even Ozai lost interest, and Ursa soon found herself pregnant again.

There is nothing wrong with my son, she told herself over and over, like a mantra in the upcoming years. He is willful, smart and passionate. His time will come.

But when Azula created showers of tiny sparks from her fingers during her baby tantrums, Ursa was forced to admit that perhaps her first born was not a firebender after all. It didn’t matter. She loved him all the same and refused to listen to suggestions that the child be sent away.

The whispers from the chancellor’s grew year by year, aided by Ozai’s indifference: A non-firebending son was no use to the royal family. He could live a comfortable life in the country… A villa could easily be prepared…

Zuko was nearly five years old when it happened.

He and Ursa had been on a stroll through the gardens. It was a pleasant spring day with the flowers in full bloom. She put her hair up and closed her eyes as she walked, enjoying a rare cool breeze against her neck.

“Momma! Momma! Watch this!”

Ursa opened her eyes to see Zuko, somehow, had scrambled up one of the grape-orange trees. He sat among the high branches, grinning down at her and she could see the mischief in his eyes.

“No! Zuko, don’t—“

Her words were too late. With a determined grin he launched himself off.

Ursa saw him fall as if in slow motion nightmare. She rushed forward to catch him, but her legs were too slow. She’d never be able to reach him in time…

The spring breeze swirled up around her ankles, the backwash churning up delicate pink petals from the trees, outlining invisible eddies of wind…

And Zuko’s fall slowed. He landed on the ground lightly, as if he weighed no more than a feather. Grinning triumphantly up at her.

Ursa staggered, one hand clutching at her heart. No… no… This couldn’t be possible. It…

But the wind had died down again and Zuko was still grinning – the look of a little boy who had held a secret to himself for too long, and was delighted to be able to show off.

Ursa gathered around her child, taking him in her arms. She wept. And because he was young, he started to cry as well… although he clearly couldn’t understand what had made her so upset, or why it was so wrong.

Oh my dear son, she thought. Her heart felt as heavy as stone in his breast. How can I protect you now?

Chong, trying to sleep/create new songs and is overwhelmed by all the damn sparrowkeets around.
He's a pacifist so killing them is not an option.
The more realistic or ridiculous the better, there's a reason I'm asking for this. ;)
Wednesday, March 24th, 2010 07:25 pm (UTC)
Haha. Here you go. I can't say there's much point to this drabble, but then again it IS Chong, so...

“Maaaaaan,” Chong sighed, laying back with his trusty ukulele resting on his stomach. “I can’t even hear myself think in all this racket.”

“What?” Lilly called, from three feet away. “I can’t hear you with all this noise!”

“I said…” But Chong’s own voice was drowned out by another flurry of activity from the sparrowkeets up in the braches overhead. There was a whole flock – No, it was like a plauge, man. An honest to spirits plague of chirping, screeching little birds.

Chong thought they were pretty cool ‘till about the fifth time he had to wash his shirt… and his hair. And then they started singing an hour before dawn…

… A man’s gotta sleep, you know?

Shutting his eyes, Chong absently ran his fingers across the strings of his instrument – he could barely hear the chord, but hey, it was the thought that counted, right? – and tried not to picture plucked little sparrowkeet bodies roasting over a fire.

Not cool. He didn’t eat anything with a face. He—

A suspicious warm wetness plopped on his face. Chong put a hand to his cheek. His fingers came back white.

“What?” Lilly called. “I can’t hear you!”

Dexter and Debra, season 5 speculation
Wednesday, March 24th, 2010 08:57 pm (UTC)
Oh, and here's this because when Iget blocked I punish myself by going to 4chan.

Thursday, March 25th, 2010 02:19 am (UTC)
Ohhh... You made me use my new icon. :D

Major spoilers for season 4 finale!!!!!

The second Debra got the call, she jumped in her car and broke all types of speed laws to get to the scene.

Despite that, she wasn’t the first one there.

Angel was there at the front door of Dexter and R—of Dexter’s house. The bastard had probably been waiting for her. He caught her shoulder just as she tried to shove past him. “Whoa, hold up there for a second, Morgan.”

“Where is he?” Debra snapped. “Is he okay? Are the kids—“

Something flickered behind Angel’s eyes, but he only nodded. “The kids are all fine. The older ones are with their grandparents. The baby’s here, but he’s fine. Dexter… Dex is a little shaken up, but he’s not hurt.”

“Do you know who did this?”

Again was that little flicker, a slight hesitation. “She was found in the bathtub. Looks to be the Trinity killer’s MO.”

“Fucking son of a bitch!” Debra snapped, and pushed by her sergeant before he could say anything else.

She found her brother on the patio outback, sitting on one of those cheap lawn chairs which faced back to the house. Harrison was cradled, sleeping on his lap and… Oh holy mother of fuck, blood splattered all over both of them.

“Damnit Dex,” Debra breathed, walking up. “I’m so sorry…”

Dexter didn’t glance at her. He sat, watching engrossed as the paramedics and CSI’s flowed through his livingroom; taking pictures, chatting amoung themselves, wheeling in a gurney…

“Dex?” Debra tried again, putting a hand on his shoulder.

Her brother looked up at her and… it had to be a trick of the light. There was no expression on his face. Nothing, but the eyes – there was a look in them that chilled Debra right to the marrow. Something not human peered out at her from her baby brother’s face.

And for a frightening half second, she wasn’t looking at the sibling she knew and loved… but something else entirely.

Would love to see your take on a genderbent Sokka. But not like... always been a girl, but 'suddenly becomes a girl' and the hilarious complications which arise. If there's a pre-existing relationship with Zukka and we get his reaction too, that'd be keen. Especially if Sokka is of the mind that he wants to try out this new body asap and Zuko is a little more hesitant. :3 <3

Best prompt evah!!!!!

“You want me to what?” Zuko repeated, a little weakly.

“Come on! It’ll be fun!” Sokka gave him a smile which looked all too perky on his—on her face. “Go on, give it a try. It’s easy, see?” And she poked a finger into one of her breasts.

Her very perky breasts, which went very nicely with that very perky smile.

Zuko swallowed.

Sokka sighed again, clearly seeing his reluctance. “Look, I don’t know how long this crazy amulet magic will last, so I figure we might as well make the most of it. Think of it as… an experiment.”

Zuko’s eyes traveled down to the small pink necklace slung around Sokka’s neck. The glittering rock that fit nicely between her cleavage. He didn’t think much about the tunic when Sokka was a male, but the second he put on that amulet, it became very obvious a shirt with that deep of a V-neck belonged nowhere on a woman—

His eyes snapped back to Sokka’s face (albeit with some effort) and he shook his head. “No. I—I don’t... Sokka, you’re a guy!” And he looked frightengly like Katara at that moment. An aggressive, sexually aware Katara.

Now Sokka just rolled her eyes, and before Zuko could do anything she reached out, took Zuko’s hand and forcefully put it to her breast.

“See? Not gonna bite you.”

Zuko tried to snatch his hand back, but Sokka was stronger than she looked and after a moment he realized that maybe she had a point. It wasn’t… bad. Kinda squishy, but firm at the same time.

Swallowing again, he reached out his other hand and placed it on Sokka’s other breast. “Like… this?” At Sokka’s nod, he asked tentatively, “How does it feel?”

“Kinda boring, actually.” Sokka sounded slightly disappointed. It made Zuko chuckle and that dispelled a good deal of the tension.

He squeezed slightly, testing the feeling, and when Sokka didn’t protest he moved his hand, slipping it into the gap of her shirt to cup gently with his bare hand.

“I think they’re a little more sensitive than they were before,” Sokka said. “Your hands feel really warm – wow.”

“N-nothing.” But she was leaning, ever so slightly into the touch and, greatly daring, he ran a thumb around nipple. It hardened under his touch.

Sokka’s eyes slid half shut. He reached up, but only to move Zuko’s other hand under his shirt as well. The fabric was half off his shoulders now, and he might as well take it off, but there was something alluring about the way it was opened – showing just enough bare skin below the collar. Sensual in the way that Sokka stood, leaning towards him, lips half parted…

When Zuko kissed her, he felt her heart race under his fingers.

Write a squishy Lu Ten/Zuko scene of brotherly affection.

Zuko/Toph flirt
Friday, March 26th, 2010 10:31 pm (UTC)
I don't know what is wrong with me that made me write this. Clearly, a lot. :D

No one except for Iroh and some of the top generals knew about it – it wasn’t exactly a very Princely pursuit – but Lu Ten considered himself to be an expert tracker. He could mark a game trail from the bending of the tiniest blades of grass, could spot a nest of elusive Somewhat Nocturnal Indigo Penguin-Elephants (or SNIPE’s as they were called in some hunting circles) from the way the wind eddies changed when they beat their thumb-nail sized wings.

But all of this paled in difficulty, when one was trying to track the most elusive beast of all: His younger cousin, who insisted on hiding out when he was feeling sulky.

“Gotcha!” Lu Ten roared, springing through two concealing bushes to land in front of the boy.

Zuko yelped and shoved something behind himself quickly, but not so quickly so that Lu Ten didn’t see it.

He was silent for a moment. Then, “Zuzu, are you playing with dolls?”

“No!” the boy snapped, although his flaming cheeks spoke otherwise. “And don’t call me that!”

“Um, okay.” Lu Ten folded his legs and sat down, hard. “So you have Azula’s dolls… why, now?”

Zuko’s fair cheeks burned, and it looked like he was on the verge of denying having the toys again, but it was clear he wasn’t fooling anyone. With a long sigh, he took brought the dolls from his back and sat them down in front of him. Lu Ten’s sharp eyes didn’t miss how he stroked the last doll affectionately as he sat it down – straightening her petty-coat. “I was just… saving them, is all,” the boy muttered, arranging the dolls to sit nicely in a group. Their fake stitched faces smiled up at him. “Azula always burns ‘em, and I thought… You won’t tell anyone, will you?”

Lu Ten let out a long sigh of his own and reached out, squeezing his younger cousin’s shoulder. “No, Zuko. I won’t tell.”

But, he added silently, the kid was getting swords for his next birthday. He didn’t care how much Aunt Ursa squawked about being safe. It was clear she was mothering him a bit too much.

Zuko grinned up at him, oblivious to his inner thoughts. “Thanks, Lu Ten! You’re the best!”

“No…” Katara fell to her knees, her hands outstretched over him, but there was nothing she could do. Nothing to stop the blood. “No, no… Oh please no… Aang!”

Somewhere she registered that Sokka was standing beside her, silent and shocked, his sword still dripping. And somewhere she heard, too, Hama’s insane cackle. But that was all in some faded place in the background. In front of her was Aang… only Aang.

He smiled, and the glint of his teeth showed red under the full moon. “’sokay, Katara… It doesn’t hurt…”

“It’s okay. I’m gonna… I can fix this.” But Yagota had only taught her how to seal flesh and not fix the wounds inside. There was nothing she could do for the blood already spilled. So much blood…

A cold dry hand fell on her shoulder. Katara looked up to see Hama’s face, her stretched, insane smile.

“Do you want to save him?” the old woman asked simply, and her hand curled into a claw. The blood leaking from the wound slowed, and stopped. “I can show you how.”

(Based off one of the scenes in this chapter: )

The thing was, sometimes it really, really, really sucked to have two little sisters. Not strictly in an ‘Oh man, it’s that time of the month/you’d better not be looking at my sister, unless you want a boomerang your ass’ type of way, either. Because despite the fact that both were benders (one water and one fire… long story), and could probably kick his butt forwards and backwards since they were, like, twelve years old…

It was still Sokka’s job to protect them. No matter what.

And sometimes… that was easier said then done.

They were caught. With Sokka’s overly large Fire Nation helmet knocked off, in the middle of a battleship, surrounded by evil looking guys and Commander Zhao… yeah, this rescue could be going better.

"Excellent work, Lieutenant Izhar.” Zhao said in that slow, smug way he had that made Sokka want to punch him in his fat head. A lot. “You will be commended in my report." He then turned his attention to his captives. "Impersonating a Fire Nation officer – isn’t that like dressing up a hog-monkey and expecting it to dance."

Zuka clenched her fists. Her gaze locked with Zhao and she stepped forward stiffly, almost against his own will, coming nearly to the sharp spear points. "Release us at once, Zhao!" It was nothing short of an order, somehow powerful, but equally ridiculous coming from the Water Tribe teen.

"Or what, exactly?" Zhao's voice was low, almost cloying. He smiled again.

Sokka stepped up, coming shoulder to shoulder with his sister in solidarity. But there was a sort of pressure in the air, a pressure that he was only starting to become aware of. Zuka and Zhao were glaring at one another, ignoring Sokka. And around them, high up on the walls, the torches were flickering. It was impossible to say who was doing it, or maybe they both were for the flames jerking, flicking back and forth as if caught in the middle of a gale. But the air was still. Still and thick with tension.

Zuka's lips peeled back in a silent snarl. "I fought you at Kyoshi Island. I'll do it again."

"Is that a challenge?"

"Yes!" Zuka leaned forward, nearly vibrating, passionate for the fight. "If I win, you let us go free. Me, the Avatar, my sister and my brother."

And Zhao stepped forward and made a grab for the girl before Zuka could even flinch. He hauled her forward and crushed his mouth over hers.

Sokka yelped “Get your filthy hands off her!”, but about three beefy Fire Nation guards grabbed his arms before he could properly leap in and kill their commander.

Zuka, for her part, stiffened in shock for just a second before she swung hard, hitting his temple with a half opened palm in a strike that was more slap than punch. Zhao released her, laughing as she spat on the floor.

“I accept your challenge, Princess. In fact,” Zhao smiled again as Zuka sputtered, "I'm looking forward to it."

I too would like to beat my writer's block over the head right now.:P Let's see...

Zuko has an interaction with a spirit animal. I'm thinking Wan Shi Tong or Hei Bai but if you'd prefer another go for it.

Iroh and Ozai as kids playing together and getting along.

Avatar/Harry Potter crossover - Gaang confronts a boggart.
Thursday, March 25th, 2010 01:39 am (UTC)
Okay. I've had some plot bunnies for a while now, and they may not be your cup of tea, but I've been thinking about really weird crossovers. Like one paragraph things.

And I mean odd ones.

Like what if someone, so inherently good, like Aang, found something so inherently evil, like the One Ring (LotR)? Or what kind of issues would the Gaang run into if their cross-country journey took place in a more modern setting (Wait, you mean a bunch of kids can't sleep out in the park at night? But where are we supposed to stay then!?). Or Jet and the Freedom Fighters lost in time. (I don't think that one ever was intended to make sense, actually...)

And then there is the one with the CSI. That one- you know, I don't think I can explain that one. It started from an idea/joke to put Zuko and his obsessive tracking to more practical use. Then it kind of spiralled into some Bizarro world Cop!AU. With corruption, mob bosses, terrorists, and I don't even know...

My mind is a scary place sometimes. That's why I don't write fanfiction. I just like to read it.

But I hope you get over your writer's block! If you'd like, I have a very talented friend who can draw you pretty fanarts for inspiration (she totally owes me one at the moment anyway) So feel free to request away! XD

Good Luck!

More Katara and Zuko in the AB AU. Spring thaw.

What does Katara think of Zuko in Apple Falls Far? Mothering/crush instincts on overdrive? How much does Sokka tell her?

Also, I find myself wanting happy-crazy Azula fluff. Because it's CRACK.
Friday, March 26th, 2010 11:45 pm (UTC)
“No, Sokka. No. His sister tried to kill Aang.”

“Yeah well, look at him Katara. Zuko’s not in any shape to take up Avatar-hunting again.”

“How do you know, Mr. Smarty-pants? He seemed pretty determined to capture Aang when he attacked our village!”

A smile, too bitter to belong anywhere on her brother’s face. “I saved his life, so he owes me. You don’t have to worry about him.”

“W-what? What do you – I thought you were supposed to see Dad.”

“Yeah.” He turns away, but she reaches out, stopping him.

“Sokka?” Quieter, now. Almost like she doesn’t want to ask. “What happened?”

And he doesn’t look at her. Can’t meet her eyes. That pinched look is back – the one dad used to get whenever he was thinking about mom, only this was worse because it was Sokka. “I don’t know… Or maybe I do, but I don’t want to know, you know?” Pause. An expelled breath. “I always heard war changes people, but I never really wanted to believe it.”

“You can’t… Sokka you’re not saying—” She’s stopped when Sokka pulls her into a rough embrace. For a moment, she can’t think because… again this was Sokka hugging her and what he’s saying, or trying to say is—it’s ridiculous. Insane.

He pulls back, just as sharply and shakes his head. Embarrassed, and upset and still… pinched. “Gotta go… Kill something. Meat.” He mumbles, bringing out his boomerang. Takes two steps and stops, turns around. “Just give him a chance, okay? And don’t be too mean. The guy’s been through a lot.”

Then Sokka walks away.

After a long minute Katara turns to the camp. The two invalids are there, bundled up in furs and blankets and sleeping either side of the fire. One unconscious from a lightening strike at his spine. The other skeiton thin with molted bruises up and down his pale skin. And… were those teeth marks on his neck? Human teeth marks?

Katara sits down very suddenly and stares into the fire for a long, long time.

Evil airbenders if is it possible.
I mean you have evil versions of every nation except for airbenders.
Friday, March 26th, 2010 06:55 pm (UTC)
Haha. I don't think I've done evil earthbenders yet, but... hot damn, evil airbenders are just too much fun. :D

The chains were tight. The teen clenched his fists and pulled against the cuffs as hard as he could – there was a slight gap between metal and flesh, and maybe if he was strong enough, maybe if he were able to heat the metal…

Sokka and Katara needed him.

A soft swish of dragging fabric against stone floor caught his attention, along with a dry chuckle which set the hair on the back of his neck on end.

A figure melted out of the darkness. Aged almost beyond reason, with loose yellow robes and sharp grey eyes. He stood in front of his captive, tall and unafraid.

“So this is the great Avatar,” he mused. “Master of all the elements.”

The boy narrowed his eyes and tugged again at the restraining chains. He moved hardly an inch.

“Struggle all you want. There is no escaping this fortress.” He paused. “Tell me, how does it feel to be the only firebender left?” And as if to highlight his words, the man reached out, running one crooked finger against the side of the teen’s face – following the outlines of the red scar.

Zuko twisted his head away, tried to bite the hand – sparks snapping behind his teeth. But the elder monk’s reflexes were still sharp. He pulled away, another smile twisting his lips.

“I see.”

“Untie me and I’ll show you how I feel,” the Avatar growled.

“I think not,” the monk murmured. He took a step back, his hands clasped behind him, studying the boy as one would study an interesting – if dangerous – new pet. “Don’t worry, there would be little point to killing you right away. Not until we can procure a pregnancy of a strong heir, a true vessel for the next airbending Avatar. You have a few months, yet.”

Zuko said nothing, but his golden eyes nearly seemed to glow in the dim light. Not with the Avatar spirit… his hatred was all his own.

The old man opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by a squeak of the cell-door opening, and a polite cough.

“Monk Aang? The guards are reporting a disturbance outside. It might be nothing, but I thought… given with our prisoner—”

“Yes, yes,” Aang replied, waving a hand. Then he turned back to Zuko, sweeping him again with that appraising gaze. “Make yourself comfortable, Avatar. This promises to be… an interesting few months.”

Ember Island Players - Drama and romance behind the scenes of 'The Boy in the Iceberg'!

Another Brother - Aang gets a crush on Zuko and Katara. Zuko is oblivious, Sokka is bemused.

Another Brother, Azula, Mai and Ty Lee, the ouijii board incident.

(Deleted original my post, because apparently I'm an idiot who can't read directions. Sorry.)

* When Zuko rams his ship into the Water Tribe's village to intimidate them in Episode 2, he accidentally critically damages the ice pack it is resting on. The village and everyone in it drops into the sea as Zuko and Aang watch. What happens next?

* AU age-up for Toph: She's 22, not 12, when the Gaang meets her in "The Blind Bandit".

* Long Feng doesn't intercept Appa before he can return to Aang in Ba Sing Se.

* Jet is secretly the bastard son of a firebender, and is himself a firebender.

Avocado Love, I'm not sure if this meme kosher but I started writing one of the prompts I submitted. Sorry! :) The plot bunny just got into my head after dinner last night and then I suddenly realized it was past midnight and I had three thousands words typed out.

I figured a 22 year old Toph growing up without friends would become Gordon Gekko and it flowed from there.

This is a plot bunny that has been driving me crazy for some time but I can't manage to get any Avatar fics written:

Future!Zuko goes back to the past on a future Day of Black Sun back to the day of the invasion. Winds up in Azula's body. Who is in Zuko's body is anyone's guess.

Hmmm...This may be a bit much to ask, BUT:

*Aang meets the other Element spirits (Tui and La were water for example).

*Meh, something with the Kuumi-Koh-Taang theory.

*The Gaang watches a skit from the Avatar version of Monty Python.

*MOAR GBZUKO/ZUTARA FTW!! Maybe something with the Agni Kai during Sozin's Comet.
