Stay safe, east coasters!!!!!!!  :(

Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 02:39 am (UTC)
You know, the sad thing is that my classes won't even be cancelled tomorrow.
Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 02:41 am (UTC)
Don't be a fool. Stay in school. ;D

(You never know!)

Liter of Bailey's? Check. Tub of hot chocolate? Check. Hmm. Looks like I'm all set.
Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 02:44 am (UTC)
Haha. That's one way to make the snowstorm fun.
Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 02:46 am (UTC)
I read that as 'eat coasters' at first, and I was like... okay. I thought I was missing something.

Growing that baby is eating your brain! :D

I'm all set to work from home tomorrow. Sadly new snow tires come in later in the week. >.>

Hey, that's the way to think ahead! *grin*

I DON'T CARE. YOU STAY SAFE.

:P
Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 03:10 am (UTC)
Instead of snow, we're getting freezing rain! Oh the joy! There is ice everywhere, including a half inch thick layer on my car, which I have no idea how I'll be getting off tomorrow morning (if we even have work), as well as on the power lines, and the roads...

And it's still raining.
Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 03:14 am (UTC)
Ick. I have never experienced freezing rain, but that sure sounds like it sucks. Good luck! Maybe you won't even have to go in.

Dude... I live in Canada and it's suppose to be a horrendous amount of snow... so I need to flash my ass over to my friends house in the morning to retrieve my Sims 2 game. On another note, holy shit there's a lot of snow outside and it might be a new ice age. (maybe not)
Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 03:23 am (UTC)
Yeah, you'd better do that now before the snow blocks you in! :D (And I blame global warming. XD )
Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 03:21 am (UTC)
Forget the East coast, in my neck of the Southwest, we have 20 inches, and it just keeps coming. And I live out in the boonies, too. Meh, I have hot chocolate and peppermint tea. It's all good.
Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 03:23 am (UTC)
Twenty inches of snow? Really? Brrrrrr. That's a surprise because in NorCal we've had an almost completely dry month. Well, you stay safe, too!

Don't forget the Midwest. Everything has been preemptively shut down for tomorrow, and the drifts are bad enough that my dogs' paw prints vanished after less than five minutes. It's 8 inches and counting, with sixty mile per hour winds...

O_O

THIS WHOLE COUNTRY, WTF.

Well you be careful too! Just buckle down and have fun digging out tomorrow.

Trains! ...Hopefully less likely to get into an accident hile communting to class.

Hopefully they'll cancel my 8:30 earlier than 8:11 THE SAME DAY this time. Let me go back to sleep. (You never know.)

Thanks for the well wishes! You to0 (if also an East Coaster.)

We've got freezing rain. There's between 1/4 and 1/2" of ice coating everything outdoors. It's really beautiful, but I didn't have to leave the house today.

And as far as I know? I still have class tomorrow. That means 3/4 miles of walking up and down a hill over ice to get to the bus, on sidewalks that are mostly present and only occasionally salted or shoveled. I'm so looking forward to that.
Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 04:08 am (UTC)
Freezing rain/sleet and increasing winds here in the Indianapolis area.  I'm hoping it's clear enough to venture to the airport tomorrow night (lucky mother of mine, riding this out in the unaffected Southwest).

This mess is headed toward the East Coast, indeed, so I hope everyone's careful.

It's been snowing nonstop in Chicago since 3pm. Working from home tomorrow and the girlfriend (teacher) has no school tomorrow!!! Yay third coasters!
Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 06:12 am (UTC)
Hopefully something to cheer you up. Since you like Iruka/Kakashi so much, I thought I'd rec this fic to you. I don't know if you've read it, but it's so utterly hilarious and cute! Team 7 finds out!

Have I read it before? It's one of my very favorites!!!!

(But actually, I prefer it on audiobook, which is here: http://audiofic.jinjurly.com/telephone-audiobook ) :D

Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 01:48 pm (UTC)
ugghhh, so done with snow. ;-;

I had work today but decided to take a personal day. There's just too much snow for me to deal with and I have asthma.
Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 04:02 pm (UTC)
It's going to be 70-75 here through the weekend. I'll be thinking warm thoughts eastwards!
Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 11:36 pm (UTC)
Bah! This was nothing, just ice. Granted, the four feet of snow we got last week is still piled up in places, but it's not hurting anyone. Any car with traction control will be fine. It's not like when I went to college in SYRACUSE, NY, and we got multiple record-breaking winters with a foot of snow falling every day all winter. With my college up on a hill. (Both ways.) And a month of zero-degree weather in January. And winds that made the snow fall sideways.

Kids these days are wimps. ;)

Brown Mackie actually shut down early last night. This is unheard of, as they don't shut down for anything, & apparently, today's classes were cancelled.

Our power went out last night, & wasn't back til this afternoon. Since we don't keep the house very warm anyway, it got cold fast. We're lucky; they say some people won't have power for three days. The Canton Civic Center has been opened as a shelter, but if we'd stayed out, I'd have just gone to Aultman; it's closer.

I'm one of those naive Southern Californians who's always all -"SNOW! I want to see the snow!:D" But I know I wouldn't like to live in it...since starting college and taking the bus I've begun to hate even the rain, which I used to love. Getting caught in it with lousy shoes and a small umbrella = not fun. Lucky there hasn't been much this year.

I feel for those who have to walk around all bundled up each day. It does not sound fun at all.
